How I think about leadership and organizational clarity

In April 2026, Richard launched Richard A. Hinton LLC, a professional services firm built on a straightforward premise: growing organizations need experienced people leadership, but many are not in a position to hire a full-time executive. The firm exists to close that gap, bringing executive-level expertise directly into the moments that matter most.

Perspective

Most organizations don’t struggle because of strategy. They struggle when leadership clarity breaks down, when decisions lack alignment, and when execution starts to drift.

Richard’s work focuses on strengthening those moments. He helps leaders think more clearly, operate more intentionally, and build organizations that can scale without losing trust, accountability, or performance.

Experience

Richard brings more than 20 years of experience in People leadership across construction, architecture, engineering, and high-growth technology environments.

He has partnered directly with CEOs and executive teams through periods of growth, disruption, and organizational change, leading work across talent strategy, organizational design, leadership development, and People systems.

Beyond the Organization

Alongside his work in executive leadership, Richard speaks and coaches on leadership clarity, decision making, and how organizations leverage differences to operate at a higher level.

His work extends across organizations, teams, and learning environments, including schools and universities.

How He Thinks

Richard believes that People is not a support function. It’s leadership infrastructure.

How leaders show up, how decisions are made, and how organizations operate are what ultimately determine whether strategy turns into results.

Richard is always open to conversations around leadership, organizational growth, speaking, and coaching.
